All About Mrs. Quam
Hello! My name is Mrs. Quam! This is my eleventh year of teaching at DLB. This will be my 2nd year as the junior high math teacher. I taught 5th grade for my first 9 years at DLB. I have a true passion for math and am excited to be able to share that with my students.
I grew up on a farm near Donnybrook, ND with my parents and six brothers. I attended high school in Kenmare, ND and graduated from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND with degrees in Elementary Education and Middle School Math. Along with my teaching rolls, I also serve as the FFA Agronomy Judging coach and Math Counts coach. I look forward to a year of learning, fun, and growth for both the students and myself. I know that this year has a lot of unknowns but I am looking forward to making this the best year for the kids.
My wish for you is to be proud of who you are, where you've come from, and where you're headed!
I am married to Mr. Quam, the DLB Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor. Some students may know him as the substitute bus driver too! We live in Des Lacs with our 4 daughters, Brooklyn, Alivia, Tenley, and Savannah. Brooklyn will be 7 years old in September and Alivia is 5 year old. Tenley turned 3 in June. Savannah will be 1 in October. Besides teaching, attending school events, and coaching agronomy judging, I also keep busy building on our addition to our house, Stampin' Up, and spending time with my family. One of my favorite fall activities is cheering on the NDSU Bison football team.
I love spending time with my family!
